Used 3 different filters on this. Topaz, Redfield_Fractalius, and Virtual Painter_ Impasto. Was fun :)

I too thought this was one of your paintings at first---a compliment from some of your fans. I recognize those deep greens, and the thick palette-knife work, and just that it has a helle feeling. You used 3 programs? You managed them very well, helle. (If I use 2, I get mud...) The castle is colored to stand out boldly. And the contrasts of bright walls with the greens and fields is beautiful. Remembering your Rhine photos, I can picture a shot like this coming out of that group: But your postwork made it into a big, bold painting; and those greens and beiges are just luscious. (A deep sky too! That's a Van Gogh blue...) Hope your time off is giving you all you need, Helle. (When I step down for a bit, I'll write my long overdue letter, I promise!) A beautiful postworked piece.
