Description
A panoramic view of Phalarope Lake, which is located in the destination resort community of Black Butte Ranch. This was the closest place to eat from where we were staying at Camp Sherman & so we ended up eating two meals there - one dinner which was pretty good, with a very friendly old waiter & one breakfast which was not good at all, with hash browns so salty they were almost inedible, a frozen block of hazelnut butter on the waffles & a not very friendly young wait staff who told us the potatoes were made in big batches & that they couldn't do anything about the saltiness. Oh well, at least the view was beautiful...

When at Taco Time, I always order my Mexi-Fries with no salt. Several years ago when I requested no salt, the (very) young man behind the counter sort of smirked, as if I were a bit stupid, and said, "Huh-huh-huh ... we can't take the salt off, huh-huh-huh." I replied, "No you can't, but you can fry up a batch and not salt them until you've given me my order." You could see the light dawn. It was amazing to watch.
Oh, the picture! LOL! I like it. The trees on either side are a nice balance for the wide lake. Lovely!
