he ongoing rivalry between Digitise and Flex started when the Phoenix Alliance were asked to look into a series of high stakes robberies. Since the thief had managed to bypass the most sophisticated security systems the conclusion was an Alpha was involved. To catch the thief they needed to wait until he or she struck again and after several misses the Alliance eventually got to the right place at the right time. There they found Flex, squeezing her body out of a heating pipe. Realising she was not alone she made her escape, thinking that she was safe nobody could follow her. She was wrong. Digitise, able to transform herself into electric energy was able to follow on the metal pipes that conducted her alternate "form". Consequently when Flex emerged in the boiler room of the building Digitise was literally seconds behind....
