Seems like this job is taking for-ev-er............ But I am making progress. I sure miss hanging out here with you all, and working on the T.N.A. story! But I think things are coming along. I'm looking into some ideas for a slightly different layout for the south side of the room. But first, I need to get the new tile put in, and do a few other little things while I have everything out of the area.
Well, I have 5 more days - Friday is my last day of work, then it's playtime - otherwise known as retirement. I'm excited and a little apprehensive at the same time, but I think it's going to be great!
I'm trying to drop in and leave a comment here and there - if I've missed you, don't feel bad. I'll get to all of you eventually!
Please keep our pal Dan (Diemamker) in your thoughts and prayers - hope he's OK after Maria's devastation in Puerto Rico.

Love that spiral staircase into your man cave, Rod. When I worked for ultimate electronics back in the mid 90's when rear projection big screen tv's were made, we had a 60" big screen we had to get down a staircase like yours. Totally a back breaker. Looks like things are coming along and still a ways to go. I have a man cave basement also, just not as big, no spiral and most of not all the awesome eq you got. Love your explenation on the work that's being done. I'll email you an update of the images you could not view, my PG mag and book series. Take care and hope you get it all done soon, cause missing the gals new page.

Progress indeed! At least you can communicate with the outside world a little easier now. I'm worried about Dan, too. I keep hoping to see some news of him every day.

(I really thought I'd commented on this) First, I really like the pictures. Just as pictures. I like the angles and the light, and the contrast of crammed-filled spaces with open spaces. And the way the wires just flop and mess with all the geometric lines. Besides, looking at this place is a treat in its own right: Where'd you GET all this stuff? You even have an old roll-away desk (if that's what they call it), and tons of pictures, and piles of papers---organized into some kind of order which I'm sure only you know...and a cassete deck and insulators, etc etc. The wires hanging from the ceiling are a great touch. When I did audio mixing, the wires were behind the consoles---people died in there, and no one knew. But yours are spread out, and they're like 'vines'. They grow...How you know how to repair all this is beyond me, but it's nice to know that this job is over with for good...Fine chronicling of your catastrophe!
