Description

Here is the first of this series - (Dragonflies), This is a mature Blue Dasher male. The females are quite different in appearance. When I began shooting Dragonflies, I thought they were different species. When I got a Field Guide to Texas Dragonflies, I learned better. Many Dragonflies have males and females that are colored quite differently. There are between 60 to 70 species in my area. I think I may have about 25 or so species among my photo archives.
