Description
Actually, a reprise of this hot event that I captured across the street from my condominium complex way back in June of 2006, which was even before smart phones were invented. When I first saw this from a block away the fire department had already arrived, which compelled me to run back to my condo unit and grab a camera. Luckily the passengers had exited the vehicle post haste. I wish I could have recorded it when the auto began spouting flames. Oh well, better than nothing.

Electric fire good shots
It's a french car ... No ???
Fantastic captures my friend !!!
I doubt it. Probably Japanese.
Wonderful Work,
Great series of shots, and I'm glad the people were able to get out.
Hmmm... Mt. Saint Helens? Yellowstone? Vesuvius? Aetna? So much smoke! Good series of shots! :-)
Courageous firemen.
Your frustrations in not being able to get the explosion from the start echo what numerous photo-journalists struggle with: Being in the right place at the right time. But your 4 shots here are bang-up, visual eye-assaults, I love the calm regulated backgrounds---so elegant and sedate (you live in a beautiful area)---as backdrop to the sheer chaos and mad-activity of the car and fighters. The car itself is all smashed and angled into the street; and the smoke makes a great visual accent. I also like how you give two shots with firefighters, and the last two are largely the car. (The people are present, but obliterated by the smoke.) The 3d shot shows total wreckage; and the 4th, a bombed out car. You kept the smoke to one side, which shows the obliterating power of smoke. I really like these. And we wonder, how did it happen? Makes you wanna stay away from cars...Great that you ran inside and got these before it was all over...
I say break out the hotdogs, it's a car BQ.
I think in my life time, I've seen only one car on fire...was a Volkswagen. I never was in photography during those days. Now everyone has at least a cell phone to take pictures. Great action shots and your timing for being there at the right time. Aloha
