Description
This old car was standing in front of the O.G.B. (Old Government Building) bar & restaurant in Cathedral Square in Christchurch to attract potential costumers.It attracted me, but only to look at the car. Unfortunately I didn't take the time to check out details of the car, i.e. make , model and other telltale signs that would allow me to research its history. This car looks much like London cabbies do, at least on first glace.

It's kind of hard to tell for sure. We think this is a 1946 Austin, but that's as close as we could get. (WE being mostly Bill, of course!) LOL!

Looks like a postwar Austin 10 or 16 to me. Not an official cab as they had no passenger front door, just a load area for putting luggage. Cool though.
