....For the Big Event Monday!
Just a bit of humor as I 'drone' on about the upcoming eclipse... My neighbor stopped by today with a couple pairs of eclipse glasses - and yes, she got the good ones (ISO 12312-12 NASA - Approved)! After both of us just having cataract surgery, we're not taking any chances.
I'm hoping to have both the Inspire, and the Mavic in the air to try and catch the shadow sweeping across the landscape. The drones will not be looking at the eclipse itself as it will be too high in the sky for their cameras to tilt up to see. My house sits about 3 blocks into the path of totality, so I'll have about 22 seconds to try and get a shot of the corona. I could drive a little bit north, but I don't relish the thought of fighting the traffic. They're expecting the population of St. Joseph, Mo. (which is about an hour north of me) to double over this weekend.
Anyway, I just thought I'd toss this up for a giggle or two. I'm working on Page 9, and it should be ready in a day or two.

I just read about the Border Patrol hearing a drone fly over the border wall and tracking it they located a man with the drugs in his lunchbox. the $5000.00 drone was in a bush.

Very cool way to protect your Drone/Droids for the eclipse!! =) I hope you will post some pictures of it. I'm only in the 75 percent range,but I have my Pizza and cereal boxes ready!
Oh, and our local news says that there have been increased Bigfoot sightings in every state that is in the path of totality and they expect them to climax around eclipse day so keep them Droid/Drone peepers pealed for the Wookie mating dances that are said to occur only under the shadow of a solar eclipse.
Could You Reverse Engineer tie Drones Camera to look up! Maybe Stick a Match Book to shimmy the Camera like a friend of mine use to Do with his 8 track Player.(The 8-track tape is a magnetic tape sound-recording technology that was popular in the United States from the mid-1960s to the late 1970s, when the Compact Cassette format took over.)
I suppose I could get a Matrice 200.... You can actually mount a camera on top of it for doing stuff like bridge inspections... I'd have to work another 10 years to pay for it, though...
I remember 8-tracks, but never had one..

I took a nap that day, and woke up way late: Don't ask. I was tired, and I overslept. (Local friends said, "you overslept??? Are you sh_ting us???") I love what you did to this. Yeah, Foster Grants (Mike). I played with a jazz musician who looked like this. I haven't got a clue how this works, how it was put together, etc, but it makes for a great star wars character. And the wires behind it look like it's connected to machines in a hospital! A fun and cool shot, Rod. I'll be back for more this week...in the meantime, good luck with the cleanup!
