It's like silk, very soft hair curved, like flowing in a light breeze. The movements gentle, and tender pleasing to both, the soul and the eye. I see so much love in this fantastic recording, dear friend.
You have captured the dunes perfectly. I've been to this place. Another of my mothers choices for one of our summer trips. Thank you for bringing back good memories.

A wonderful study in light and shadow. The human figure gives this a great sense of scale. I estimate the dune at close to two hundred feet.

Tara, one of the disadvantages of doing 12 images in one sitting (esp at my pace---I'm nearly at an hour now, and I've only done 12 images!) is that I can't spend the time reading all the comments, which I normally love to do. I can't enter into the dialogue, or 'riff' off people the way I often do. It's just because of time, nothing else. You are aware of comments I receive, and I appreciate that greatly. Just know that I curtail reading comments in your gallery only when I'm trying to do as many images as I can, in one sitting: But I read a selection of them, regardless, to be aware of how people are communing with your work...
This dune piece has color, which gives it a whole other feel from the previous dune piece. Again you have a low ISO, and you've created a soft film-like feeling, something so un-digital...you've made it into lots of soft 'thoughts' running across the horizon, with beautiful modulated light and shadow; and yes, as some pointed out, the little human there does give us immediate perspective on the massivity of this place. Beautiful work, Tara, and your giving us only a sliver of sky makes the massivity of this huge set of 'sheets' stand out all the more. Beautiful work, painting with nature.
I have to stop now, unfortunately, but I did an hour's worth, and a bunch of pieces, and it was a great pleasure. I'll try to come back for more before I leave. I'll be visiting Bill too...
