_____ Jodhpur, in Rajasthan, is famous for the huge fortress of Mehrangarh that towers over the city, a city where the Brahmins, the highest class of Indians in the caste system, live and can be spotted through the painted blue walls of their houses.This is why Jodhpur is nicknamed 'the blue city', in traveller's guides. The Thar desert, with its scorching temperatures is quite near, hence the thick and
sizzling hot mist that hovers over the city, and makes it difficult to see the blue sky.

Hou !C'est tout simplement magnifique. En plus, les détails de la forteresse en avant-plan donne l'atmosphère de l'endroit, exotique à souhait. Rassure-moi, tu ne me disais pas que tu ne supportais pas la chaleur? Excellent travail mon ami, tant sur le cadrage intéressant et la lumière ! Tu devrais travailler pour Géo ou un tour opérator ;-) !

Just going to paint my house blue! lol Lovely shot and info too! Gosh I went to the far east far too young as a military child in 1957. I'd love to visit the suez canal, Singapore and Borneo again. Not forgetting Cameron Highlands.

On voit ici et là bon nombre de photos médiocres ou franchement mauvaises...du genre un superbe paysage avec des fils électriques en plein milieu alors que l'on aurait pu faire quelques pas pour les éviter ! Et puis, il y a tes photos et là, on change de registre. Celle-ci est parfaite ou peu s'en faut : la règle des tiers y est respectée...on s'attarde un instant sur la tour pour venir à l'essentiel, à droite comme il se doit, la ville bleue. C'est tout simplement superbe. En outre, ceux qui font de la fausse profondeur-de-champ, en 3D, feraient bien de s'inspirer de cette photo...malgré f4.5, la tour est nette, la ville l'est aussi, seules les montagnes du fond ne le sont pas mais c'est peut-être dû à la brume dont tu parles. Bref, un grand bravo.
