Description
My brother-in-law and his grandson came to the house to look at our lawn mower last week. I saw the two of them bent over checking out the problem and knew I had to do this image. It’s not great, but it gets the idea across. I hope all of our August Artist have a wonderful celebration and don’t have to mow on their special day.

Love the way the little guy is resting his head on his shoulder - such a true representation. My friend did this minus the grandson and dog. He unfortunately neglected to disconnect the spark plug. Goodbye finger.

Another lovely birthday celebration. And the image makes checking out a lawn mower like father and son (and dog) checking out an old row boat, or old dog house that they built. It has a wonderful family feel to it. (Hey---I did lawn-mowing for a living when I was a teen, and I would've loved fixing a mower to feel like this!) A real, caring family image making fixing a lawnmower look like a loving task. Love the father's bent posture, and the gaze of the son. And the dog's fun---because he doesn't have to mow! The tree in back is just right. Delightful.
