The sky was SO grainy, even shooting at ISO 6400 (my camera usually does better than that in low light), that I decided to "paint" the sky over in ArtRage. If you use ArtRage, try importing a photograph, and just use the palette knife on a section of the picture and see what happens. If you don't use ArtRage, then never mind! :P

Love the glow inside & under the dome. And the palette knife fix for the graininess was creative...

5* pour le travail. Excusez-moi, mais je ne suis pas "Ann" et les "white box" me passent au dessus de la tête. Cependant, le sujet me laisse dubitatif. S'il est question d'esthétique il est pauvre. Si, dans un autre ordre d'idées il porte un symbole, laissez-moi vous dire que c'est une provocation politique. J'en suis coutumier et vous ne m'avez pas apparue comme étant telle. Belle composition. Le ciel est magnifique.

Wonderful photo / manip, Tara! This makes the Capitol look so tranquil (and belies the current turmoil within..) Great painterly effect. I think I still have a copy of ArtRage somewhere.... Maybe I should find it and have a play....

Fantastic capture Tara and you did a great job with the sky. I don't see a white box, but then the instructions weren't meant for me. But in the past you have 'walked me through some uncharted waters'. Thanks for that! Also about your comment on the i phone use. It is a pretty good picture taker, on a par with other little cameras or even better, but no substitute for a 'real' camera.

("if you're not ann, then never mind"...next time do it for Abraham Lincoln...or Alexander the Great...that would make a great intro.) Rich amber-gold light in this dark dusky facade. And your painted sky works as a substitute, with perfect colors. The right-sided composition brings out the strange imposition that this dome has (upon the sky). It's really a jutting presence. And the lights below really bring out mystery...
