When this went up, I didn't notice that the woman in the box was on a spring: One of your wonderful illusion pieces, where we don't know which is the real person, which is not (because she's also on the front of the box, in a very straight-faced pose). As always, great job on details, like the stripes in the box, the curtain trim, her nails, her blouse, her eye makeup---this is one of your specialties (elaborate and expressive eye makeup), etc. I like the objects around her; and you have another picture of her, on the floor! The golds go well with all these deep reds. A real mood piece, with a jack-in-the-box who is ready to fend off intruders. And you light her really well, in contrast with the background.

I hadn't seen this piece when I used the same title for my October 12 posting.I guess titles are like passwords and usernames--the longer you make them, the less likely you're going to come up with one that someone else has used. I guess "PENSIVE" didn't have a chance.
