Original Story :
This was from after I had first seen dinosaurs in 'Look there'.
After we were back from the Dinosaur Island, Miho had been busy catching with with her charity work as well as pending things on all her other involvements. I too got busy with my other work. We again had to leave for another base in two days time and Miho had a list of items and gears to purchase for that trip. I told her to take the day off and go to a spa and have a relaxing day while I took care of the purchases and the gears we needed. She gave me a kiss and went off to the town.
We where staying in one of Miho's home. This was an old house at the edge of a cliff. Totally secluded and private and well she had set up protection. She had a liking for old cars, old building, old gadgets... She always said she found them fascinating and that they had a special charm and this house did had it's charm.
The whole day passed by quickly for me. Running around to get the things on the list. It was early evening when Miho called me and said she had a surprise for me when I got home. Now I must admit I liked whenever she had a surprise for me ! So not knowing what she was going to surprise me, I hurried to get everything on the list and get back to home. I reached and climbed up the stairs to the first landing and there she was with nothing on but a smile and well her shoes... What a sight ! She said "Surprise !" and started giggling. I swept her off her feet and took her inside grinning ear to ear =)...
About this render :
Though this is an update of my earlier render, I am doing it to showcase Miho as she is now (Version 8.08). Little bit more tweaks have gone into her body and skin shader. Now I am finally able to use one skin shader for both daylight and mesh light renders. The original one I had done more than 2 years ago. Again you can see the improvements. The skin texture looked pretty bad then as I did not know much about skin textures then and didn't know how to handle it within the Octane Material editor (NGE) back then. Octane continues to surprise me in terms of how bright I can get a scene to render lately. I had just started on Octane then and didn't really know much in terms of how to control it, specially its lighting. Now after countless hours spent over months of RnD on trying to understand it, I guess I can get it to render a lot better than before.
I know many artist don't like Octane as they just want to use the materials that came with the item they buy and not spend time editing the materials in Octane. Octane as of now does not handle MDL materials properly. Blame nvidia for that. But I have gotten so used to Octane that there is hardly any texture / material I don't touch in the Octane material editor now in my renders. And in any case I find most of the materials included with items we all buy to be of low quality and I have a habit of changing / editing them. I just wish vendors will start including higher quality and bigger textures (4096x4096 / 8192x8192) too with their items like e.g. Quixel Megascan, Real Displacement Textures are doing.
Update 2017-07-26 :
As mentioned before I have removed the older original render. I am trying to redo all the renders to bring consistency to my gallery with the current and final version of Miho

Wonderful job looks quite an improvement over the original which was still pretty good.Im in full agreement over getting better textures i use the 8k ones from quixel for the stuff i buy there and even stuff i buy from cornucopia i always try for bigger file stuff as thats usually got better textures after all its fairly easy to make them smaller if you need too

please do not hate me lol, I love your work and enjoy the great back stories. I have to say I muchly prefer the original Image. Octane is an awesome tool but I feel it strips a lot of her realism. I think you should try a few more renders without Octane and see the feedback

She's really exquisite! Interesting contrast from the 2015 version. I like both, but the update is certainly a better quality. And she's a bit softer on the edges, though I don't think a bit of definition would take away from her beauty. Nice work.

I've never used Octane, but I have to say the results you get with it make it tempting to swallow the price tag. Maybe someday... I do enjoy messing around with the materials, even in Poser. That's something I plan on doing a lot more of once I retire and have more time to play! I'm slowly learning my way around fiddling with materials in DAZ as well. Always fun learning new things..
I like more slimy women, but as rendered scene very nice done and HQ!
