Description
Alexander Sarantos Tremulis (January 23, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, United States – December 29, 1991 in Ventura, California) was a Greek-American industrial designer in the North American automotive industry.
Tremulis held automotive design positions at Cord Automobile, Duesenberg, General Motors, Tucker Car Corporation and Ford Motor Company before establishing a consulting firm.
This concept car was designed by Alex tremulis from a chassis with two Ford 289 Cobra engines.
These were originally part of the Duesenberg revival, but when that effort collapsed, Alex thought they were too good to go to waste, so he began the Sarantos name.
He got quotes for the bodies from an Italian coachbuilder that Brooks Stevens put him in touch with. As Alex said: "Imagine driving from the back seat of a Lincoln Continental...
My model is based on two side-view sketches, slightly different one of the other, by Alex Tremulis.

Superbbbbbe ! Magnifique concept-car jamais vu pour ma part, de quelle date ? fin 1950 début 60' ? La modélisation est superbe (comme d'hab.) et ton historique sur Tremulis fort intéressant. Bravo.
Je jure, la main sur les Pages Jaunes, le Code civil, le Kama-Sutra...que, sur les routes qui m'ont conduit en Andalousie, je n'ai pas croisé une telle auto et, surtout, si originale...à la question 'est-elle belle ?", je ferai une réponse mi-figue mi-raisin : s'il s'agit de ta création, la réponse est mille fois oui...s'il s'agit de l'originale, sur les routes, je serai plus réservé...mais autres temps, autres...etc. En tout cas, chapeau bas et même sombrero !!!
Modéliser demande de la patience et beaucoup de savoir-faire, en fonction du programme utilisé. Je suis bluffé par ces modèles de voitures : du grand art, tout simplement!
