Description
In response to a challenge on Flickr, Y is for Yoga, Christel very kindly agreed to do a couple of poses for me.
See her doing a Warrior pose Here
I did try yoga once, but the lady who runs the class I tried at the centre where I swim was very, very serious indeed and frowns if you smile.Heaven help you if you giggle!
I also over-reached myself, forgetting that I'm no spring chicken, and nearly gave myself a hernia..
The background is messy, but never mind, eh!

the joy of life
I think the background is perfect. Yoga is a green activity and life is messy anyway.
My partner Deb is into yoga....I am far too old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (she's older than me just between us!!!)
Wonderful capture! She looks serene and beautiful
I did Yoga too & found the same but it did make us giggle at times!!!
I like the stretching of yoga poses, and have tried on more than one occasion to learn a few with some success. However, in class, they always want you to "flow" from one pose to the next to the next, which is more like calisthenics than it is like stretching! I takes me a while to learn a series of movements like that, so I'm always lost, can't see the teacher well enough, and finally give up. (They get you in a pose where your face is on the ground, and then say, "look at me to see what your proper pose should be." I can't maintain the pose AND turn my head far enough around to see what they want me to see, so I'm always straining in the wrong direction.)
Ah well. I'm sure you didn't come here to hear all about my lack of success in yoga classes.
Christel must be tall. When I put my arm straight up in the air, the bend of my elbow is just below the top of my head!!
Maybe if we were all Christel's age again...ah, but I am loosing focus:)
a delightful capture and when I am not allowed to giggle or smile I also would run ☺
