What a imposing building, dear Nikolay Top capture. Hugs for all day. Di Di. xx
Incredibly forbidding!
Superb!
Imposing building. But how did it survive the siege of Sevastopol in WWII? Nice photo, gives a very strong image of historical greatness. Keep up the good work! :-)
Thank you for your care of the image. Unfortunately, I did not find any info about the fate of this particular structure, however it should be interesting for you to watch this https://youtu.be/p_OuKwwzTvs showing how it was on a wider scale.
so more here http://warfarehistorynetwork.com/daily/wwii/sturgeon-catch-1942-the-siege-of-sevastopol/
Your no frills, no nonsense composition fits the austere style of this structure...
Impressive! a very strong place, I think!
Wonderful composition.
What history encases this city. This was a "tough nut to crack", in the 1850s and the 1940s.
Something about this shot tells me it's yours. If I'd seen it in a gallery somewhere, if I didn't know you were the photographer, it would have made me think of you. In any event ... it's eye-catching and intriguing, and it pulls me in to look and look and look again. Brilliant work.
It could tell stories!
