Description
We headed to Antietam Battlefield a few weekends ago and on the way I noticed an historical marker on the roadside near Braddock Heights, MD. Braddock Heights? Could this marker be where General Braddock was buried after being killed in an ambush during the French and Indian War?
I decided it would be worth a visit on the way back.
Well, we did not find the gravesite, but we did find something interesting.
BTW I believe the General was found in the early 19th C while the trail was being widened into a proper road. IIRC his remains were repatriated.
Anyhow, here is a look at something a bit different from what we've been seeing.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
