Very nice work.
cool long shadows and interesting variations! like the b/w one most 😀
Fantastically well done !!!
I once had an Anadarko Petroleum (Oklahoma?) annual report. Oh! Yeah? You think you understand how they decide where to drill from those images? Long Beach, that's what it looks like after steam injection? Then the fracking begins. If it's profitable I like the image.
That is so non sequitur and irrelevant to the images that it boggles the mind.
The second variation is a black and white oil spill---it has a viscous, oozing quality, and smearing too. I love what you did to it. The last one is a big tapestry of patches, all gliding into each other and bunching up in the back. Or a crazy hall-of-mirrors, with distorted reflections everywhere. I love both abstractions. The top shot---It's so strange! This may be a normal site in LA, but in Chicago you'd rarely see such a high structure like this on a sidewalk. I take those are the lower portions of the poles to a sign (so it seems, from their shadows): But such a high sign on a sidewalk? It's so strange. In any case, you got a very dramatic shot of it all, with long shadows (and you being 20 feet tall); and, with only the lower portions of those poles in the shot, it's an abstract of verticals over diagonals. The morning light is strong with a golden tint. A very fine original. Love the whole montage, Harry.
The B&W is the MOST striking. VERY NICE! ...and...thank you for the inspiration.
WOW! That is so cool. Love the shot and I love the variations.
