Description
Highway US 60 used to connect the East with the West Coast of the United States. Now it begins where it branches off I-10 east of Quartzsite, Arizona and ends on the Atlantic seaboard in Virginia. Total length now is 2,670 mi (4,300 km).
Since the completion of the freeway system this highway is only traveled infrequently, by people who go to or come back from a boating weekend on the Colorado River, or by campers, boaters or fishermen that go to Alamo Lake. In this part of Arizona it runs mostly straight and crosses ragged mountains, deserts or occasional farming. One is apt to see an occasional rattlesnake that is trying to make it across the road, or a roadrunner, turkey vulture or coyote.

Great view!

Great view, Sig. Perspective adds to the highway's vast distance.
Super shot my friend!!
these endless sraight roads remind me of driving our rented car in oklahoma without a driver license and I was so very scared lol 😀
That's a straight road :-D Great capture. Unfortunately, I've never seen roadrunners when I was in USA and they don't exist in Europe :-(
