Description
Result of photo-fiddling with a big bronze statue at Gettysburg National Park, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
I have my great grandfather's Civil War sword much like this one and always wondered how it was suspended from a rider's belt...now I know:-)
Will be back soon to catch up on my comments.

Great POV & composition, Bill, though the sword thing is not something I've ever wondered about...
A superb P.O.V. and a fantastic family heirloom. I hope you have a good story about your ggf to go with it. I have the sword my father brought back from Japan and, as usual, it comes with a humorous story. https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/my-old-man/1981688/?p
Unusual point of view. The attachment is quite universal. Glad you got an answer to your wondering! Now I'm wondering whose equestrian statue this is. Some education for the masses maybe? :-)
A compelling POV!
Fabulous capture with a great and unusual POV
It's nice to see the authentic thing, but I really like yours with the chain. Having leather straps and big hooks would spoil the lovely lines of the piece. Your pov and crop of this statue is brilliant! Well done on the shot, and on the post work.
Very nice capture Bill. I like the point of view very much.
I love the POV on this one, Bill! What a great capture!
outstanding pov and capture
Great shot and thanks for the info Bill!
cool pov and your question is answered 😀
superb POV and angle!
An almost realistic looking horseman and his weapon, thank heavens the tip of the sword has some sort of a protection towards the horse... I think this would go very nicely with a few other swords, of my sons 'wall-o-death' collection - better not let him see this one !
Well cropped and I really do like the POV.
Wonderful perspective! Sharp capture... even thought the statue is not moving.
