Description
While I was grokking the multi-legged boats on the pottery from yesterday, Mrs. W was really taken by the red and black item in the back. Looking at it, I had to agree: remarkable finish, color, and style. Obviously not a Hecho in Chine in sight. Amazing stuff. Well, here is more of that red and black stuff and we can still see the pot that originally caught the missus' eye (and another view [blurry] of the multi-legged [oared] boats on the big pot).
This stuff is just cool. Glad to have seen it and to be able to share.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
Sidenote: today is Memorial Day. We went to Antietam National Battlefield (and, predictably, got lost on real farm roads vice site trails). I will have some photos from there for you. It was rainy and overcast, so I expected the statuary to be evenly lit from all sides (worked on pagodas in Japan) but I'm not so sure this time. Still some interesting things. If you are in the area and wondering: should we really go there? Yes. it's worth the visit. The park service has done a fine job with the video and you can't appreciate the confusion unless you see the terrain yourself.
Ladies and gentlemen who fought for our nation; I salute you and thank you from the very bottom of my being. You unknowns are not forgotten even if we don't always recall your names.
