I wonder if there is a metric that measures how far you are from the city center by how much your fence is picket and not ornamental iron spike?

That's a long fence! Another of your studies of light and shadow and form, via picket fences. I like that the front-most fence is in shadow, while the lit parts are further back in the shot (except for the few pickets on the far left): a kind of inverse shot of light and shadow. The rest of the shot is mostly muted tones (with the exception of the whites on a far house), as contrast with the fence. A little journey here, and a fine abstract shot---with line shadows on the concrete to add to the rhythms.
