Description
I had to share this.
I was really heart broken and angry when I saw this. When the Lenox Lounge was closed in 2012, I was hoping that somehow it would make a comeback, however mine and the wishes of others in Harlem was in vain. They are demolishing the legendary bar and landmark.

a true shame - some iconic places should be saved
Also the buildings die !!!!!!
OUCH! They did that with the Penn railway station in the 1960's, against protests. Then they wanted to do it with Grand Central, and 30th St. in Philadelphia, and Union in Washington. But protests were so loud they backed off. Wonder what will be built on this property. Sigh. Beautiful facade. Also gone? Modern architects have no sense of beauty, only of money and glass and steel which don't last long. This is so sad.
Cool work.
