Beautiful capture, good dedication !!
Thank you, honey! I love what you did with this. He seems to be in motion, which is mostly due to the angle of your shot, and the way you worked the picture. Fine work!
Carved on the wall behind him:
"They who seek to establish systems of government based on the regimentation of all human beings by a handful of individual rulers call this a new order. It is not new, and it is not order." -- Franklin Delano Roosevelt
And around the corner:
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much' it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."
As you say ... one of my favorite presidents.
:*
Very beautiful dedication - Happy Birthday, Tara
A great shot and dedi to Tara Bill.
Amazing birthday dedi for Tara. Happy birthday.
Nice dedi to Tara! On seeing the thumb nail I first thought Richard Wagner! But reading the text I saw it was a person with such opposite stand from Wagner as he could get. Interesting FDR sculpture. From this angle and the cloak, a very 19th century figure! I really enjoy this photo. Keep up the good work! :-)
Superb capture and dedication. Happy birthday Tara. God bless.
A great photo of a great man. Thankyou Tara for the text.
This is a great picture and a wonderful present for the wife. I remember the debate over this. Some wanted him standing while others thought having him in a wheelchair would send a message about disabled people. This is the first time I've seen the finished product. Happy birthday, Tara!
Kinda reminds me of another sweet little dog......
A most wonderful dedication for your lovely lady, Bill! Happy Birthday, Tara!!
I agree about the government not being for the people, but against instead. no matter the political group they have the same agenda of cushioning their pockets.
superb photography Bill
impressive and special sculpture, manlike and not heroic! my belated birthday wishes to Tara too 😀
Great capture Bill. The dog looks like Mandy! Happy Birthday Tara! I know I am late, but better late the never, right? I think it helps if I look at other peoples posting more often to stay on top of events!
