Description

Union Station Washington, DC April, 2017 We made it back from the East Coast in one piece! Saturday was a long day, but we made it back to Washington State without any problems. The past couple of days have been a little hectic. Bill did the grocery shopping, I got the trailer all straightened out and got us unpacked, and today we went out and bought a car. We left our other car in Texas, and we needed one up here. Here's a plug for Enterprise Car Rentals and Enterprise Car Sales. Buying a car from Enterprise was the best vehicle-purchasing experience ever! No haggling. Drive cars, pick one, buy it, go home. Done deal. It was awesome! We're still adjusting to the time difference, and sometimes I feel like part of my brain is still on the east coast, but I'm coping okay. If I don't make a lot of sense from time to time, just ignore it and give me a break. :D It will be good to get all settled in and get our chores done so I can sit at the computer and play with all the pictures I took on our trip!

Welcome back, Tara. Wonderful shot - I love the light, the solemnity & the classical feel of this shot. Never bought a car from Enterprise, but I used to rent cars from them years ago, because they had the cheapest rates around & would gladly pick you up when you rented from them...

Nice job! I assume these are from a set of 12, representing the hours. The back light gives this an interesting effect - both from the sun as well as from below behind the figures. Glad to see more if you have more from the station. Keep up the good work! :-)

Stunning light and framing. It reminds me of the interior of a european train station, can't remember which one.

I wonder why railway stations are like this. I suppose the companies had masses of money to spare and we are the lucky inheritors. A superb photo, Tara (of course!)

For some reason I just flashed on 'Game of Thrones'. Superbly exposed and composed. Welcome home. When you sit down does it still feel like you are moving? Looking forward to seeing the places I need to add to my bucket list.

Hey, I haven't HAD a brain for the last several years... (My field manager said Children's Mercy was a "brain dead" account, so what a perfect match!) You'd be surprised what you can accomplish without one.... 😆 Anyway, I'm glad you and Bill made it back to WA unscathed. Sounds like you two had a wonderful trip!

I love the title - so perfect, Tara! Great photo - I'm assuming those guardians don't do too much damage to the buffet... LOL
