Zlata had decided to take a moonlight walk with a couple of the puppies that they had found wandering & had taken home while they found out where the pups had come from. She decided to sit on the bench while the puppies had a play. Lots of things were going round her mind. What are we going to do if we cannot find who they belong to? She would like to keep them but of course the others said that wouldn't be fair to the pups as they needed a lot of attention. She knew they were right. "WOOF, WOOF" Zlata turned & saw this grey mottled dog pounding towards her. The dog didn't sound angry, just playful. "Who are you?" she asked him as he skidded to a stop. The little white puppy ran to him, so she knew he must was ok. "Charles Chance at your service, he did a small bow but you can call me Basil" he said. "Basil? I thought your name was Charles?" Zlata said, looking puzzled. "May sound funny to you but people tend to call me Charlie & I don't particularly like it so I chose Basil." he answered, while swirling round with little pup. "What ya doing out here at this time a night?" he asked as he pounced at the pup. Zlata told him how they had all found the puppies. "Blimey are there more than these two?" he asked. She told him there were & they were worried about them. "Now, a, maybe able to help you there." he said as he rolled over for the pups to jump on him. Zlata's ears pricked up as he began to tell her what he had heard & she sat still until he had finished. "Thank you so much for all the information I had better go home & tell the others." said Zlata. "I might tag along, if that ok, could do with a warm bed to sleep in tonight." replied Basil as he bounded after Zlata.
