This is a small vase, designed to hang from something and hold two or three flowers. Not that glass needs a function! The beauty of glass and how it plays with light is everything I need to know about it.

Yes, indeed, this fantastic eyecatcher doesn't need flowers, my friend. It is a pure beauty of itself, and certainly as you have photographed it, with the light exactly on that one purple piece. Perfect.
the sheer white surrounding makes a perfect foil to the very busy and opulent shapes on the vase. Esp with all that purple. You cropped it with what looks like a handle, at the top, so the vase seems suspended on something mysterious. You caught the soft edges of this type of glass work---the cream sections esp have beautiful rounded edges. A beautiful piece, full size; and letting it stand "solo" brings out what a little world it is...beautifully done. (Denise also uses sheer white backgrounds beautifully...)
