Canyon Lake is the third lake along the Salt River, it is the smallest one of the four lakes, and it is the only one where the Apache Trail follows the lake shore and crosses a couple of inlets.

@Faemike55! I am not sure if there are camping facilities for tents. There are facilities for RVs. The next Lake up the river, Apache Lake, has facilities for tents, I know, we camped there in the seventies. They also have RV accommodations (limited size) .

@Buffalo1! It does this year Rog. They actually had to release water from all storage reservoirs (two on the Verde and four on the Salt) to make room for more runoff.
