Description
In her day I'm sure. A very striking portrait. I'd say she is still a head-turner.
Original was pretty dark since flash is STRENG VERBOTTEN.
PW managed to coax the flesh tones out and preserve some of the cracks in the paint.
Acceptable amount of camera shake, so we got off real lucky there, eh?
Just noticed that we seem to have some trompe l'oeil going on here. Her headdress overlaps the frame... no wonder I has such F U N trying to crop the frame out to maximize the image.
I made this as big as possible while maintaining R file size restrictions. I'm thinking of printing this for the computer room and thought others may be so tempted. (HINT: zoom zoom, eh?)
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Incredible Photo, Captured perfectly!
Very lovely lady!
Very well taken and interesting painting !!
Excellent!
Considering NO FLASH, this is a great job. The tromp l'oeil is a fun thing, popular at the time. A bit of a joke in a serious painting. Keep up the good work! :-)
I wonder what her life was like, she looks rich!!!
Wonderful and interesting !!
fine work
