no idea whatsoever! Great find
A holder for cigars and cigarettes, like a parking place before entering the room. I recall seeing something similar at Grand Central Station in New York in the 1950s. However, being in Budapest, this may have another function. Nice photo. Keep up the good work! :-)
I guess that was too easy - you got it - it's where lawmakers parked their cigars...
Wow I never would have guessed!
I thought it looked like it would perfectly hold cigars, but then I thought, "And why would anyone make such a thing?" So I talked myself out of my answer. It's quite practical, with the numbers and the design, and the finish is beautiful!
Definitely unusual to look at and I would have never guessed it ! Originally I thought along the lines, of maybe some lift numbers showing up ?, with a hidden light, when going up or down ??? - I know it may sound silly, but I do have a vivid imagination... LOL
A railing perhaps? Superb capture my friend. God bless.
LOL! That was a really fun thing to use, but I can see, at that time, where they all often smoked big fat cigars, they had to put is somewhere, when signing in :)
Well ! Definitely a solution to a first world problem!
Gorgeous shiny object and a stunning image
looks outstanding! reminds me somehow of an organ in a church lol would never have thought about cigarettes 😃
I would never have known that a wonderful image :)
Beautiful capture.
A nice tool for heavy smokers
