Bangkok Saturday Night “John?” questions the brunette. “No, that’s not John.” explains the blond. “That’s a “JOHN,” she further explains. It’s the oldest profession in the world, aside from buying Girl Scout cookies the whole month of March (hey! we all have our weaknesses!). Hence, the “Oldest Profession” is how this city must have gotten its name! According to Sam Cooke, our lucky/unlucky “JOHN” (depending on how the rest of his evening goes) is going to be parading around Bangkok with two chicks on his arm, tonight. "It’s another (Bangkok) Saturday night and I ain’t got nobody. I got some money cause I just got paid. Oh, how I wish I had someone to talk to (yeah, talk!). I’m in an awful way ! ! ! !" Thanks, DW, for the trip down Memory Lane. I had completely forgotten about this song and the video. This goes all the way back to the very early days of MTV when they actually played music videos and played them around the clock.
