Description
Just practicing.
Today I have been at the eye doctor, who said I am getting close to an operation for cataract, but because of my missing focus on the other eye, so I dont have a backup eye, she asks me to wait another 6 months, as there is always a risk in an operation. But that is only part of my eye problems..... ok another 6 months it is. SIGH!
So the past hour I have been doodling with something that doesnt need details, as my eye isnt quite free of the fluit, they used for it at the eye doctor. Still blured.... (more than usual). SO here goes the Carrot People :) Inspired by BobBlast on Youtube. He is an amazing dude. Love that guy.

They are FAB! You must do a street scene with lots of them!
This is brilliant Helle and looks very much like a Lowry picture.
They are fantastic and they also remind me of L.S Lowry
Cool application of plain folks just standing around, conversing and/or exchanging greetings, Helle. Hope things go better for you eyewise. Mostly touch and go, which can be quite frustrating.
This is wonderful, Helle! Simplicity is often elegant - and these wonderful 'doodles' are definitely elegant! I'll have to check out BobBlast - I've been enjoying YT videos by Jazza and Ross Tran. Both are a riot, and do wonderful work.
Well, they may be doodles but they're livelier than a lot of pose packs I've seen for use in renders so that says something. :) I've got to get a fresh sketch book and some ink and do some doodling again in the nicer weather.
excellent
They may not have the level of detail of realism, certainly, but they're each unique, and have wonderful personalities! And I can tell that the dog on the right is a standard poodle, and the one on the left is Andrea's Rosie. :) I love your people, and their shadows give even a page of doodles marvelous depth. This is fun!!!
I already wrote about this privately, but it's worth writing about again. The amazing thing, considering the simple brushstrokes that this style demands, is the variety of expression and personality you got throughout the people. Different sizes, pants or skirts or dresses, thick, thin, some with hats---very defined, even though you used few strokes to make them---different 'attitudes', personalities, presences...a real collection. And some people are connecting with someone else, some not...and that big dog is turned around, which isn't easy to do with simple strokes. I really loved this when it went up (and do now), and I loved the video. You have another style to add to your carnival of expressions. You can stick these figures into pieces whenever you see fit. A wonderful upload, which is also thoughtful as well...the people seem connected yet separate. I love this.
a meeting of people or one person and all we see are stations of his life in one scene? cool and creative work 😀
