Description
You can walk from one end of Boston to the other quite easily and that's just what we did when I was there a few years ago. What I like a lot about this shot is the sign that says "Suffolk University". Why, because the day I was there I was freezing and I stopped in the first shop I found and bought a hoodie---from Suffolk University.
We were there so my sister could run the Marathon. She did and we took this walk AFTER she ran. If that's not crazy, I don't know what is. Unfortunately, her running days are over. She has to have hip replacement surgery next month. (I KNEW running was bad for you!!) It's been a rough time having to give it up, but she's finding better ways to stay active than running.

Well Marilyn, I was about to post and then go to sleep (and about to take another rr break), when I saw you'd just posted! I'm really glad I stayed up! Love this shot, real Marilyn stuff, all those forms jammed together, the big surprise perspective---are those lamps or are those balustrades! (They're lamps, I know) And wonderful urban 'collision'. I lived in that area for a few years, and it really is packed-in. I'm sorry your sister has these problems now, but she had many good years of power running, and I wish her all the best now. You gave us a wonderful shot: I remember your shots when you were in Chicago, and the great angles and light you got; always a marilyn perspective...And given the narrow winding streets of Boston, you caught its spirit exactly. Love the shot.

Wow, lots of verticals here, jam-packed together - having grown up in NYC, I'm used to that, but I can understand the claustrophobia it induces in some people...
Great structures/rectangles galore, claustrophobic capture of the Boston thoroughfare, Marilyn. I love those lines. And, being as physically fit as you are, I hope you served as a last moment replacement for your sister. Plus, check out my latest butterfly posting.
