Description
I had my own gardening business for several years and this was probably the biggest project I ever did. I had to push wheelbarrows full of sand up several steps to create the base. Then more rocks, bigger ones, also with the wheelbarrow. And finally the stepping stones.
I wore a tank top and shorts, and noticed several of the retired men in the neighborhood taking walks past the house. My client's husband remarked about it; apparently I was the main event for a few days!!

You have always been in top physical shape......swimming upstream in a raging river, canoeing on the rapids, stepping across primitive bridges in your flip-flops.........
Like tara, I remember projects like this---I don't remember if you talked about this one to me, but you spoke of many. And I remember you telling me very nonchalantly that you were gonna drive a long ways to pick up a bunch of 'rocks'. Somehow that seemed totally natural for you, lol. (I can honestly say I haven't picked up a bunch of rocks this size in my life. Not from a store, and rarely from anywhere else.) I love what you did here, and it shows your typical creative and intuitive sense of play, dance, design and light. Love the rust hues on the stones, and the choice of deep red plants and the colorations on the bricks (also reds). If I ever live in a place that calls for it, you can design my gardens anytime. Terrific work.
