Description
One of several old film shots I scanned of a trip I took to New Mexico perhaps some 30 plus years ago. This was at the world famous Albuquerque International Balloon Festival, which is held each October. I was on my way to visit my brother in Santa Fe at the time and it just so happened to coincide with the festival.

What a great short of all these beautiful air balloons.
Of all your balloon shots, this is one of my favorite. It has a soft feel, and a pinkish undertone, and, with the softness of the images, it's like a dream or a fairy tale. Wonderful expanse of balloons up there, against those fleece clouds. And the bottom red striped barriers (i know there's a name for those, and I can't think of them for the LIFE of me!) (hurdles? well, that's what they're called if your jumping over them!) are a fine contrast to the soft landscape-tones and of course the sky. I like the thing on the far right---diet pepsi?---just peeking in; and the complementary cutoff balloon on the left end. A real picture book capture, Harry. And the clouds are like silk.
