Description
Captured in 4/07 on my second trip to the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful LaCañada/Flintridge, California.
I'll be terribly embarrassed if these are not rununculas.

Helle and Carin will know if these are Rununculas: As you know, my knowledge of flower names is limited to roses, chrysanthemums, and "red". Sometimes "yellow"...Whatever they are, you made them into honey and butter and a lot of sunlight. With deep red coloring, and a red-tinged black background, to harmonize with the flowers. A lush capture and oozing red-yellow. Very rich stuff, Harry. It oozes.
In DK we call them Ranunkel, so I am sure you are right, Harry. What a wonderful bunch of flowers :)
Harry both you and Helle are correct. They are very popular spring flowers in South Africa and they come in a myriad of colors. I adore the yellow - it is so happy and reminds me of sunshine!
