Description
This apple tree I put in the spotlight, because here in the meadow it's the last remaining tree from this old apple variety.
We call it "Sterappels" (Star Apples), and they are the kind that if you rub their red skin on your clothes, it go's shining so intensely, beautiful deep red.
And it tastes so delicious sweet.
I know them so well from my youth.
Unfortunately, now they are not available for sale in a vegetable shop.
To be short: A survivor in winter.

Prachtige appelboom,spijtig dat ze stilaan verdwijnen ,was bij ons in het parkje ook zo oude appelboom heerlijke appels maar de gemeente heeft hem verwijderd.
