With lwperkins, I too am struck by the detail and flow of the dog's coat. In full size, it's beautifully done, Dee. And the grasses---small and tall---are soaked in a deep sun-yellow, so they glow. And the girl and dog seem tinted with the reds of the flowers, making the foreground red and rich. And a big sky back there. This feels very Midwestern---though it could be many places in the world---but, having grown up in the Chicago area, and going into the Midwestern countryside many times, this reminds me of the many small houses, farms, etc, that you see out there. (And yes, there are actual hills in the Midwest, lol. It's not all flat as a pancake...)
Delightful work on both the dog and the girl: You portray children beautifully and truthfully. Even her bent-over stance is that of a child and not an adult. And he looks like he's fighting it a bit, but she's convincing him to not to resist. Lovely moment, and another delight from you. And I've always considered great friendships to be siblings of the heart, so they're family. Lovely sentiment in this image.
