Description
This tomb is in good shape, but the surrounds have had faces and heads hacked off. I'm sure there is a story there.
No heraldic devices on this one. I was in two minds about the devices we saw yesterday. It would be interesting to look up the devices from yesterday. IIRC we had checks and pales; very simple. I may look up Spanish heraldry some day to see what I can find regarding them.
I'm not sure about the bodies being in these tombs; that is probably a good question for the staff at The Met Museum.
Well a few more in this chapel to round things out and then we'll see more of the other exhibits. I did mention unicorns.

If this is in a museum, the residents are long gone, possibly to another sarcophagus, or stuffed away somewhere for future examination. Very nice photo revealing the fantastic artistic skill in the medieval sculptors hands. Good job with the photo, bringing out all the detail. Vandalism usually had personal or political causes. Keep up the good work! :-)
