Description

NOT a post card! We are on Ellis Island now. This image caught our eyes and I hope it catches your. It seems to sum up all the people who arrived at this hall hoping for a new start. The artifacts on display are in amazing state of preservation. Most of the buildings on the island are hospital wards. The main building contains the exhibits and is an amazing bit of vaulted ceiling... some side rooms contain "exhibits" in that they are full of the clutter left behind when the facility was closed. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
