Description
The outside doors used for the rooms at the Hotel Sonesta Posadas del Inca seem to be original monastery doors. They seem to be of some sort of hardwood with a heavy latch and old-fashioned lock and the little barred window at the center of the door at eye level has a shutter on the inside. It is a unique way to enhance the 18th century Spanish colonial feel of the place.

very interesting door - what does the interior latch look like?
The inside just has a key hole for the old-fashioned key. On the outside the key hole is protected by the latch-operated cover plate.
Interesting door, great capture!
History is all around us!
really a large hole was needed for the lock. I have installed many styles of locks, but never as large as this. the oldest door I worked on was from an European Monastery from the 1500's or 1600's and was on an expensive town home
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
Solid, sensible and functional.
cool !
