OMG, Around the world in eighty days.
One of several old film shots I scanned from a trip I took to New Mexico perhaps some 30 plus years ago. This was at the world famous Albuquerque International Balloon Festival, which is held each October. I was on my way to visit my brother in Santa Fe at the time and it just so happened to coincide with the festival.
And I have no idea whether this balloon was ascending or floating at the same altitude when I snapped it. Remember this pic was taken three decades ago, and, at 89, my memory isn't what it used to be. Plus I don't see any tethers on any of the balloons that I can make out.

Sweetly composed, with the balloon mostly on the bottom of the shot, and the sky looming around it and on the top. More of that fine pink-tinge to the clouds. And a rich, deep orange in the balloon, with its other hues added. Another peaceful shot of these balloons, with beautiful 'inward' hues. (Can't explain my 'inward', I just feel these are introspective hues rather than bright, in-your-face hues.) All sweetly captured.
