Description
I think this is the final version of this page. The printed page size is 5.5 x 8.5, and this page will bleed to the edges. Taking advice from a few kind folks (thank you leroysquab), I split the text in panel three into two balloons, and added a little - sniff - sound effect. This was actually a bit of fun. In Manga Studio 5, I created the text layer, transferred it to a raster layer and then used the MESH TRANSFORM tool to give it that little slant and curve. This is a lot like the DISTORT tool in Photoshop, but I think this one may be a little better. If you compare this to the previous version, you'll also see I added a little texture to the ground in panel two. I went back and forth on this (I kind of liked the clean lines of the first version), but finally decided a little detail made it look more organic and match the larger panel.
UPDATE: DANG. I had uploaded this a few minutes ago, but saw an error in the text rescaling. I've fixed it and replaced the image.

The added floor detail and 'sound' effect round the scene off nicely and give a more polished look.
~Cheers~
Thanks for noticing those details. For me, the big improvement was giving the text a little more breathing room in panel 3. That also gave me the room for the sound effect.
