Description
We took our oldest grandson to the Arabia Steamboat Museum today. Such a cool place!
This is a collection of bits and pieces of broken glass that went down on the Arabia in 1856. There's plenty that survived intact, but this is prettier. The museum housing the contents of the Arabia is the largest collection of pre-Civil War goods in the world.
The museum is only a few miles from Rod's house, but I have it on good authority that he's not been there yet.

Glass, light, shadow, color, texture, pattern - a wonderful abstract composition...
OH Yes. This is really beautiful with all the hues of the glass and the shapes. LUV it !! But how they can look so mixed, I cant really understand. Were they placed in a container as if they were just thrown in there? Naa, because how could you then get all the wonderful light through it?... I give up thinking here. LOL!

Too bad we can't take Rod and Helle both to this museum. Can you imagine their reactions? I have a photo of this display in my gallery from our first visit...but it isn't an abstract...it is the whole thing. Maybe I'll learn to get closer some day. Love it!
