Description

Stating tomorrow morning, John and I will be out hunting near (almost anyhow) White Salmon, Washington, at the Oklahoma campgrounds. The picture is showing the new crossbow: 175# draw weight 14" Stroke (from trigger to stops) 360+ fps bolt speed 115+ lbs striking force 4*30 Scope 5-bolt quiver (quick release) 7.6 lbs total weight I also have a selection of 20" bolts that have either a standard 3-blade broad-head or specialty broad-head (quick-kill) while I hope to come back with the ability to regale you of my exploits - I know that I will have better luck with my camera and will bring back some cool photos to share with you all. This area will be new to me so I should have some really great photos. And if not so great, there's always photo-editing lol!

175#'s...dayum don't put that through your foot or you'll know it! Or your car door, tires, another camper, etc lol. I had a 50# recurve bow way back in my youth, and that had enough whallop. Have fun! Looking forward to your photo's. I've never seen pics of that place (or much else of Washington state actually).

Let me guess, you're going out for a swim...err, no ? o.k., got it, you're going bowling...yeah, that's it, it's just really tough competition and you just have to thin out the other bowlers ! LOL

Have fun with your wicked toys and take it easy...(on the wildlife)

~Cheers~

Those are some serious looking 'toys for boys', Mike - just try to avoid the 'brouhaha' area around the Washington right now, even-so it wouldn't really hurt IMHO, oh yes, it really could, just an arrow to the knee ... LOL 👺

Looks like a nice setup I have always wanted to get a crossbow I always considered them quiet and deadly a very lethal combination!

Don't play the game shooting the arrow into the sky like they did in the movie Grownups with Adam Sandler.

Nice rig. It would be fun for target shooting. It is harder to get a good shot with a camera since you usually have to get closer to the animal. And the bonus is that the picture can last forever.

Crecy? Agincourt? Poor French, up against a weapon like that! But be careful! A hunter here shot a moose - the bullet went through the moose and the heart of a woman picking mushrooms some 100 meters beyond (she was hidden by greenery in the woods). Boy, did THAT raise a stink - poor guy was accused of murder and had a hell of a time. Shorter range for a crossbow. But, you could be the victim of another hunter who doesn't see you due to greenery. Please do be careful! We don't want to hear what forest ranger tastes like! :P
