Description
One of several carvings made by my pupils under the instruction of a professional called Jonathon Clunies-Ross.
Some of the parents thought this sort of thing to be rubbish (as it isn't plastic and shiny or Branded) and therefore their children couldn't take it home. So when I retired I collected up those and they decorate my greenhouse.
The pine ones don't seem to get woodworm, like the ones made of Deal/Fir

Sounds like the parents need a reality check. I love this. The character in this old face is wonderful.
cool
Nice work. With the decorations the greenhouse certainly looks very nice.
Well captured and beautiful mask !!!
The student that made this has real talent. I wonder who he's pining for?
Nothing like crushing a child's creativity to show your love as a parent. Both are wonderfully imaginative. I wonder if you have ever thought to contact these students to see if they would want their creations now that they are older?
Wild!!! Love it! Aloha
RUBBISH? REALLY? Respectfully, some people have no f'n idea! Great stuff.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
I adore him ! fav
They are both lovely.
This is so primal & expressive. It looks like something that could have come from an exhibit of surrealist art in the 1930's or 40's...
Both are very creative pieces, thanks to you they have a safe place to stay.
