Description

My first render of Alain and Erics wonderful MG TD model available now in their Nationale 7 store. All their cars are outstanding and this British classic is no exception. It's beautifully made. I made some changes to give it that classic racing look using the wire wheels from the N7 Wheels Bundle. I also made a couple of wire racing headlamp covers and moved the steering wheel to the British side. Next image will be of the standard car. Thanks for looking. Mike.

Mike, I prefer the original right-hand drive for such a british model. But, so many have been sold in the USA that I have made a left-hand drive... I presume that this racing model is theTD MkII Competition Model with a more highly tuned engine using an 8.1:1 compression ratio giving 57 bhp (43 kW) at 5,500 rpm. A higher compression ratio engine was offered with export markets! The TD MkII also featured twin fuel pumps, additional Andrex dampers, and a higher ratio rear-axle.

Another superb render!

You are right Alain, many of these cars were sold in the US and as this is also a US based site it makes sense to model them in LHD. I can always move the steering wheel over 😄

When are you Brits going to learn to drive on the right side of the road? (LOL) Still in all, a beautiful job on this very well known little model. Blue, red and British racing green are the usual colors we see here in the colonies but I like this version. Good job MIke! Have a good one mate.

We British chaps along with the Australians and other small handful of countries do drive on the correct side of the road, the rest of the world is of course wrong! 😀

Many great memories cramming my six foot plus frame into these to go driving on Angeles Crest Highway in the Los Padres national Forest! Although I prefer a Morgan, any day, the TD's and B's were always a lot of fun for sure! Another great treatment, Mike.

Cheers Bill, they weren't built for comfort were they, same as the Triumph Spitfire I used to drive.
