Description
These pirogues are floating idly in some ditch that interlaces with the many ricefields in the area. They had been used recently by the villagers of Thanh Toan Village near Hue for the rice harvest. At the time of our visit to the village the individual farmers each had spread their rice on large plastic sheets on the paved road for drying. They kept a weary eye on the sky since there was a good possibility for thunderstorms.
