Description
One of the beautiful new herd of Highlands at Highmoor Farm.
This is the info on their little website.
"Highmoor Farm is situated on the borders of Bournemouth and Poole, and is the last working farm in the centre of town. It is surrounded by houses and heathland with views across to the Purbecks. Miss Brenda Donaldson was the tenant for over 50 years but sadly passed away in 2013 The new tenants worked for Brenda so have a knowledge of the surrounding area and are keen to farm it in a sustainable and eco friendly way as is in keeping with their ethos. Kevin and Michelle believe in a make and-mend philosophy and have a myriad of skill at their disposal."

I occasionally see these here. They look more like a stuffed toy that an actual bovine. Depending on how they are raised, they can be either somewhat aggressive or as cuddly as they look. Way too cute!
Klasse shot,like it a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful image .
interesting animal! wonder how easily it gets about with all that hair in front of its eyes
Beautiful capture Andrea. I agree with the comment from Faemike55.
You are right. It is indeed a beauty. I wish I had her hair :-)
I love the look of highland cattle, lovely capture.
A wonderful portrait of this handsome creature. Looks like the bangs have completely taken over on this one. I seem to recall the fear that after Brenda's death the farm would be developed. I am so glad to see it is still going strong.
Beautiful animal very well photographed !!
Wow, great looking. Do they use them to produce wool as well?
